Terrific noise canceling

I usually don’t write reviews but felt I should on these headphones. I was researching for months trying to find just the right ones. I started leaning towards the Sonys when the MX3 came out. Finally pulled the trigger at a BestBuy vending machine in an airport. Have loved them from day one but a flight last night proved their worth. I flew standby on a commuter jet and literally got the last seat on the plane. It was by the window in the last row, right next to where the engines were mounted. When the pilot started the engines, the sound was unbearable. The guy next to me immediately put his fingers in his ears. It was piercing. I quickly donned the Sony’s and WOW, barely any noise. I started up some music and that cured any balance of noise that may have snuck in. These headphones made the worst seat on the plane almost paradise. Although pricey, they work better than advertised . I was very thankful I bought them.

Bought them a month ago they work very well but the problem seems to be that when in movement sound gets distored for example if moving your head to the left sound distorts from the right and sound goes on the left.

Der Kopfhörer hat einen ausgezeichneten Klang und eine hervorragende Geräuschunterdrückung. Die Laufzeit mit einer Akkuladung ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Einziger kleiner Nachteil ist, dass der Kopfbügel bei längerer Tragzeit unbequem wird.

Fonctionnalités efficaces, confort à revoir

J'ai ce casque depuis 4 ans au moins et malheureusement je l'utilise peu car au bout de 20/30min de port j'ai les oreilles qui chauffent énormément et transpirent et j'ai mal aux tympans même à faible volume ce qui est très inconfortable. Je ne sais pas si je suis hypersensible où si c'est le casque qui provoque cela. Hormis cela toutes les fonctionnalités annoncées fonctionnent à merveille, la réduction du bruit est bluffante ! Assurément la meilleure du marché.

Side sliders bad engineered (it is a chronic problem, hundreds of posts of users having the product breaking in the same place during normal use). The piece on the side is structural, but was designed by the engineers as non-structural, since it is as thick as a toothpick and made out of plastic - easily breakable due to fatigue. Solution: reinforcing the side with super glue, spare parts from aliexpress, 3d printed models that are available online (with this problem fixed) or zip ties (as reinforcement to do the work the piece should do). BUT: it is a 300 euros headset, you expect better than that. Bluetooth connection subpar for a 300 euros worth devise - will switch to low band (hands free) if you want to use voice at the same time. During a call or an online game it will sound like a 10 euros headset due to the bluetooth limited connection. The bluetooth management of the device is also not the smartest when comparing to other devices in the same price range.

I purchased these headphones recently - second-hand, via eBay - but they still seem to be in very good condition, and the sound quality is also very good. They are comfortable to wear, and walk around in, and it's a credit to Sony that these headphones have managed to last so well after what must be about 4 years of use. I am very impressed.

J'ai acheté ce produit pour la réduction de bruit .Comme je l'écoute la nuit , j'écoute plutôt des sons relaxants pour dormir sur 8 heures de temps. Je n'ai pas encore atteint les 3 ans de possession et je constate que ce produit a 2 défauts : au niveau du coussinet la membrane se détache, je vais devoir le changer. Le processeur de réduction de bruit siffle et je dois me connecter sur son ambiant. Pour la réduction de bruit , ce produit contient 1 seul microphone. Comme il n'y a pas beaucoup d'évolutions sur le 1000XM4 et 1000XM5 , et ils n'ont pas corrigé les défauts , je n'achèterai pas le modèle 1000XM4 ou XM5, je m'orienterai vers d'autres marques.Par contre l'arceau est solide.

Assez content au départ. Le mode réduction du bruit est pas mal. la qualité du sons est satisfaisante. Mais voila il a commencé à ne plus vouloir s'alumer pour un jour ne plus s'allumer du tout. Meme en y prenant soins. Petit moins aussi est la partie interieure des reposes oreilles qui n'a pas été prolongé par le cuir mais en plastique et qui du coup avec le temps le plastique tombe. La partie tactile est celon moi à retirer et metre de bon vieux boutons. le NFC est pas mal pour l'apparairage

Excellente qualité audio, esthétisme Arceau assez fragile, réality 360 audio peut être améliorer pour une meilleure immersion, je regrette le manque de compatibilité avec Qobuz qui aujourd'hui se place dans les meilleures plate-forme de streaming en terme de qualité d'écoute

J'ai acheté ce casque WH1000-XM3 en reconditionné. Il était donné en état "comme neuf". C'était bien le cas. La réduction de bruit est époustouflante et tellement pratique et confortable lorsque l'on a à prendre les transports en commun ou bien encore, de gros travaux sur le lieu de travail. Grâce à ce casque, j'arrive enfin à oublier le bruit du train et celui des travaux. La qualité audio est très bonne, sans être exceptionnelle. Ce casque n'est pas un casque hifi mais il n'a pas à rougir pour autant. Côté confort, il se fait oublier sur la tête. C'est vraiment un bon point. Enfin, pour ce qui est des commandes, l'interface tactile à droite est super simple à prendre en main pour gérer son casque. L'application sur mobile (Android pour moi) est complète et vient rajouter de petites fonctionnalités qui pourraient manquer à l'appareil. Je suis ravie de mon achat.

I bought these about a year ago for mainly blocking out noisy neighbours after trying out some cheap one that didn't help at all. You definitely do get what you pay for when it comes to these Sony XM3's they even provided a good amount of noise cancelling without being turned on, but when you connect them to your TV, stereo or even a mobile device the sound quality is so good it makes me feel like I'm in my own little world, these have been a life saver for me. But if there was one con it would be that you can only connect one device at a time, it would be good if I can use them to watch TV, pause it and play some music from my phone for example, I've been looking at the XM4's as I think you can with them but they are missing some of the XM3 features that I've learnt to enjoy and would miss, otherwise I would buy them as well.. god knows they wouldn't include them (MADNESS) as I think they would sell more XM4's. The battery life is excellent, and doesn't take long to charge, they have been faultless so far connecting to all my Bluetooth devices is a breeze, they are slightly uncomfortable when wearing glasses but these couple of cons are not enough to put me off if anything I would be more inclined to buy other Sony products. Very happy so thankyou Mr Sony. P.s. this is one thing I just expected the headphones would work with but I can't work out how to do it so if anyone can help me please comment, they don't seem to connect to a sony PS4, might get a ps5 in the coming months, will they work with that??????????

Après de nombreux mois d'utilisation, je ne peux qu'être content de l'efficacité de sa réduction de bruit. Cependant, cette réduction de bruit, qui est l'avantage numéro 1 de ce casque, se justifie évidemment en environnement bruyant, donc l'extérieur, la rue, le train etc... donc couplé à un téléphone. Or, il est impossible de téléphoner avec ce casque ! Si l'on décroche, la qualité de compréhension des interlocuteurs est tellement mauvaise qu'on finit systématiquement par désaccoupler le casque et prendre le téléphone à la main, c'est un comble ! En attendant d'être capable de filtrer correctement les bruits extérieurs, plusieurs solutions restaient possibles : un micro externe sur une branche de 15 cm branché dans le jack ou dans la prise USB C pour les appels fréquents par exemple au bureau en open space. Ou encore, la possibilité lors des conversations d'utiliser le micro du téléphone mais l'écoute sur casque. À la place de cela, Sony, commercialement, continue de vanter les qualités de son casque en conversation téléphonique ce qui est un abus manifeste indigne de cette marque. Enfin, il manque de façon évidente la fonction de pose automatique lorsqu'on retire le casque de la tête !

Fantastic at first, as an autistic very sensitive to sound they essentially made it possible for me to do life again! Then a while later they developeded a loud hiss in the right ear cup which Sony did nothing about and now the anc has suddenly all but stopped doing anything -_-

Très déçu après avoir acheté le casque neuf sur le site Rakuten ,après 2 mois l’oreillettes gauche ne fonctionnait plus ! Rakuten à supprimer le fournisseur et le casque n’à pas été réparé ! Sony m’a répondu qu’ils n’étaient pas concernés car le casque avait été acheté (par le fournisseur de Rakuten hors europe) , Pourtant ce casque a bien été fabrique dans les usines SONY

Ich habe die Kopfhörer bereits seit mehreren Jahren. Eigentlich zwei Stück. 1x für die tägliche Arbeit im Büro und einmal habe ich mir diese Privat zugelegt, weil ich von diesem Modell überzeugt bin. Akku ist top und hält für mich mehrere Tage. Auch nach mehreren Jahren funktioniert dieser noch überraschend gut. Ton und Mikro sind für mich eigentlich mehr als ausreichend. Ebenfalls die Möglichkeit diese ans Kabel anzuschließen ist eigentlich Goldwert, wenn man viel fliegt. Der beiliegende Adapter beim Fliegen hat sich mehrmals bewährt. Zwei Nachteile sind aber hier anzumerken (ansonsten hätte ich 5 Sterne vergeben). Der Bügel kann schon mal kaputt gehen. Bei einem Kopfhörer ist dieser schon mal gerissen und musste geklebt werden. Der zweite Nachteil ist, dass man nicht mehrere Quellen benutzen kann. Das kann schon mal nerven, wenn man mehrere Rechner hat oder zwischen iPad und Notebook umschalten möchte. Das liegt sicherlich an dem verbauten Bluetooth Standard, der es nicht erlaubt. Von mir gibt es aber eine klare Empfehlung. Wenn diese kaputt gehen werden, werde ich mir sicherlich die Nachfolger zulegen. Nichtsdestotrotz, falls man interessiert ist, empfehle ich auch Ausschau zu halten, da man dieses Modell immer noch und mittlerweile zu mehr als 50% Nachlass bekommen kann.

My wife bought me the headphones a few years ago as upgrade from Bose QC15 (wired) to wireless. Overall product is okay but the strap broke recently (there was no pressure applied or accident such as dropping it). I always keep the headphones in the pouch when not in use and am very careful when I’m putting on and removing them. The Sony website suggests to contact and authorised dealer / repairer for physical damage. I did that and received following disappointing answer. “ Sorry, these are really expensive to repair not only in parts but in time. As an approx. cost to replace the head band as this is how it is supplied by Sony, on these headphones it is £180.00+VAT”. Nearly the price of a new one. Now I had my previous Bose set for 10+ years and had it repaired / battery replaced a couple of time s at very reasonable service prices by sending it to them by post. I will be using the Sony currently partly damaged until it breaks completely and will likely return to Bose when I need a replacement.

The sound quality of the headphones is superb and the ACN is one of the best i ever had. Everything wold be perfect, but the disappointing customer support od Sony ruins it for me. I have the headphones since a little over two years and a common error occurred. The ACN of the right speaker is faulty, making noise cancelling unusable (permanent static noise). Even if have the headphones over 2 years I would expect an exchange, not even 3 years of lifetime of such an expensive premium product in nothing else as disappointing. It shows that sony has no trust in its products and I will have to buy new headphones again, from somewhere were I can at least expect a little bit more of customer service. What a pity, I really liked the headphones

le casque restitue bien le son, confortable, mais au bout de quelques mois le casque ne s'allume plus, j'ai contacté le SAV sony sans aucune reponse à ce jour, j'ai retourné le casque à Boulanger ou je l'ai acheté pour reparation, entre temps je reste sans casque, c'est frustrant de payer un casque aussi cher, pour devoir se prendre un autre en attendant la reparation du premier, et Sony ne m'ont toujours pas repondu

Acheté en promotion et plutôt difficile niveau qualité audio, j ai été très agréablement surpris. L'annulation de bruit sur des infras est vraiment bien (ça vaut largement certains casques non intra) . Seule Ombre l'annulation brut niveau micro qui pourrait être meilleure
