Utilisation très simple et intuitive

Arrivée du colis de 14 kg. "Pour le retirer, il est recommandé d'être au moins à 2 personnes pour soulever le produit." Deux petits dessins mentionnent les positions ainsi que les prises en main à éviter. (Photo 1) Or, le carton d'emballage est couvert d'inscriptions et de mentions diverses, et force est de constater que ce n'est qu'après avoir porté ce colis de la mauvaise manière que l'on prend (ou pas) le temps de lire ce qui est écrit. A noter que si l'on prend soin de poser le carton à plat sur le sol, et que physiquement on peut soulever une charge de huit kilogrammes (le caisson de basse est la pièce la plus lourde), alors il n'y a aucune difficulté à déballer seul. + L'emballage est optimisé : sa forme est bien adaptée au contenu (pas de grand carton rempli de vide ou d'antichocs inutiles) (Photo 2). - Les différentes pièces sont calées avec du polystyrène. Un antichoc biodégradable serait probablement le bienvenu car il éviterait à certains clients (sensibles à la cause environnementale) de ressentir un premier contact négatif avec le produit, ou du moins son emballage (le diable se cache dans les détails). + Chose de plus en plus rare aujourd'hui : des notices et modes d'emploi multilingues (et non pas un simple renvoi à un site pour les télécharger, bien que ces documents soient disponibles sur le site https://www.sony.fr/electronics/support/home-theater-sound-bars-home-theater-systems/ht-s350). + L'aspect de la barre de son (légèrement granuleux au-dessus, face avant métallique). Touches à effleurement sur le dessus, donc facilité de nettoyage (après avoir pris soin de la débrancher pour éviter de la mettre en marche inopinément). + Le caisson de basses (apparemment de type "bass-reflex") en panneau de bois aggloméré comme la plupart des enceintes acoustiques aujourd'hui (on le voit très bien à l'arrière : voir Photo 3). Angles arrondis en façade avant (Photo 4). Bien que l'ensemble soit accompagné d'un "guide de démarrage", j'ai pris exceptionnellement le parti de ne pas le lire pour être confronté rapidement aux éventuelles difficultés : => un gabarit de perçage en papier est fourni. Il suffit de percer les deux trous repérés. => après avoir placé la barre de son au mur, sous la télévision, le raccordement avec le câble optique (livré) et le branchement du câble d'alimentation 220V ne laissent aucune possibilité d'erreur. => quant au caisson de basses (posé au sol à quelques mètres de la barre de son), un simple câble 220V à brancher sur la prise de courant la plus proche suffit à le rendre fonctionnel. A noter que le caisson de basses peut être caché (derrière un canapé par exemple), sans altérer le fonctionnement de l'ensemble puisque les basses sont omnidirectionnelles. Cela permet de ne pas "gâcher la décoration intérieure" avec une grosse caisse noire de 28 litres. => 2 piles (livrées) à mettre dans la télécommande. => allumage de l'ensemble : tout fonctionne ! Même la liaison bluetooth est déjà appairée puisque le caisson produit les basses. Même si tout fonctionne, la lecture de la notice s'avère indispensable pour comprendre quelques particularités : => l'utilité de certains boutons de la télécommande. Rien de compliqué. Certains boutons activent des effets sonores préprogrammés : cinéma (mise en évidence surround et basses), musique (préservation de la stéréo), voix, sports, etc. (Photo 5) ; => la possibilité de sécuriser la liaison bluetooth (presque un jeu d'enfant). Un bouton nommé "Link" situé l'arrière du caisson est prévu à cet effet (Photo 6) ; => adopter le mode "nuit" pour profiter pleinement de la qualité sonore sans (trop) gêner les voisins. - A noter que l'effet sonore préprogrammé "cinéma" peut devenir fatigant (voire désagréable) lors de certains films, si les basses ont été surdosées sur le caisson (réglage depuis la télécommande). La courbe de réponse fréquentielle (audio) n'est pas mentionnée sur la notice, parmi les spécifications techniques. Force est de constater que la qualité sonore est bonne (voire excellente pour les films), étant entendu que les audiophiles préfèreront brancher leur télévision sur leur chaine HiFi pour écouter un concert philharmonique. Néanmoins, pour des concerts de jazz ou certains rock, le son semble parfait. La notice mentionne l'avertissement suivant : "Câbles recommandés Des câbles et des connecteurs blindés et mis à la terre correctement doivent être utilisés pour le raccordement aux ordinateurs hôtes et/ou aux périphériques." - Ce type de conseil semble être une résurgence du passé, et n'est pas compatible avec l'ensemble HT-S350 de SONY, car : => les appareils (barre de son et caisson) ont une isolation de classe II, c'est-à-dire qu'ils ne nécessitent pas de prise de terre. D'ailleurs, les câbles électriques d'alimentation (non démontables) fournis par SONY, ne comportent pas de prise de terre ; => les deux autres câbles susceptibles d'être utilisés pour relier la barre de son (aucune liaison filaire possible sur le caisson de basses) sont : * un câble optique (fourni par SONY) * un câble HDMI. L'un comme l'autre ne peuvent pas être mis à la terre. Inutile donc de chercher à respecter cette préconisation de mise à la terre alors que le matériel ne le prévoit pas. EN RESUME : PLUS + Très grande simplicité d'installation (rapide, et quasiment aucun risque d'erreur) ; + Guide de démarrage très clair, bien illustré, et pratique ; + Une notice (vrai mode d'emploi) bien illustrée et compréhensible (ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas chez certains constructeurs) ; + Aspect "solide" des matériaux utilisés. + Matériaux et conception de belle qualité, belle finition, et d'aspect relativement discret. + Un son puissant de bonne qualité ; + Liaison bluetooth fiable (pas de déconnexion intempestive) ; + Très bel effet surround ; + Possibilité de "doser" plus ou moins fortement les graves du caisson. MOINS - Bande passante qui manque cruellement d’aigus (mais il ne faut confondre barre de son et chaîne HiFi).

The sound is fantastic however be really careful as the hdmi has snapped after changing the hdmi lead. The support isn’t helpful at all and don’t really do anything to resolve this

We're so sorry to hear that you're experiencing audio stuttering with your HT-S350.
Just to let you know, while the HT-S350 is compatible with many Sony TVs via Bluetooth, that connection uses a basic "SBC" format. This format is more prone to interference and lower audio quality compared to a wired connection.
Often, this happens because of wireless interference from things like Wi-Fi routers, microwaves or cordless phones, as well as physical obstacles like walls or having too much distance between the TV and the soundbar. Additionally, the standard Bluetooth protocol simply isn’t as stable as a physical cable, which can lead to those interruptions you're hearing.
To try and fix this, we recommend these steps:
-Test with a different Bluetooth device to see if the issue is the same.
-If possible, update the software on your Bluetooth device.
-If you can, use an HDMI ARC or an Optical cable instead of Bluetooth. This is the most reliable way to completely stop the stuttering and get the best sound quality possible.
If the stuttering continues after trying these tips, it is likely just a limitation of the Bluetooth connection itself. We strongly recommend switching to a wired setup for a smooth, consistent experience.

I researched this system before I purchased it to make sure there was a HDMI port in the back so that I would be able to connect it to my firestick for a realistic sound when watching movies and listening to music. This is a powerful system and the subwoofer enhances the sound dramatically. Great price as well.

I've had this soundbar since early December. It replaced a Blu-Ray audio system that I was using for my TV audio which gave up the ghost after about 12 years. Now that I am getting older, I wanted "simpler" and was looking for something with relatively few bells and whistles, but something that would sound better than my TV's relatively small speakers. I found this after doing some online searching and it appeared to meet my needs. My primary concern was whether I could run it from my Xfinity remote while connected via a Toslink digital audio cable. My research suggested that would work but I could not confirm it (I am using all of the HDMI ports on my TV so I preferred using digital audio to HDMI-CEC). It turns out that this soundbar is just about ideal for my needs. My primary concern - controlling through the Xfinity remote - was not a problem (although it too, as I recall, about 9 tries to get the soundbar and remote to connect, but connect they did) and the rest of the setup was extremely easy. Because the soundbar is pretty basic, there are not a lot of settings (which is fine with me) and the settings available are more than adequate for my needs. The sound is less bass-y than my old system but I have adapted and I am pleased with the sound. The sound quality, overall, is excellent (to my aging ears). There are a lot of soundbars with more bells and whistles than this one but, of course, those bells and whistles also cost a lot more. If you are in the market for a relatively basic unit, this is an excellent choice. I am happy with my decision.

This sound Bar connects easily. I love how the subwoofer is wireless. It works great, even with my old TV. It turns on automatically and ran through the tv remote automatically. The sound is amazing and I am very happy with this sound bar. It was an excellent product, especially for the price.

We sincerely regret to hear you are having a sound issue with your HTS350 soundbar. Audio may skip if there is a device nearby that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless LAN or a microwave oven in use, locate the system apart from it. Let's try to isolate your audio drops out issue by following the steps below:
1. If you are using an HDMI cable to connect a device to your TV, make sure it is a Certified Premium HDMI cable with a length of 6 feet or less.
Skip this step if you don’t have one available.
2. Move the Soundbar and subwoofer closer together.
3. Reset the speaker system.

This sound bar was a terrible purchase. Never would connect to my TV using Sony sync even though it's a Sony TV. Quit working after a year and a half. Sony support was useless. They went through their checklist then told me to send it in for repair.

J'ai acheté cette barre le 8 avril dernier et j'ai été incapable de la faire fonctionner. Impossible de la jumeler avec le TV, impossible d'obtenir une connection entre la barre et le TV. la télécommande est inopérante sur le son. Quant aux fonctions ????? je ne sais pas si elles fonctionnent. ENFIN, les réglages sont très fastidieux à utiliser, et rien n'indique dans quelle configuration on se trouve !!

Très bon produit mais je voulais laisser un avis car 5 modes d'emploi et 5 guides de démarrage sont fournis pour qu'ils soient disponibles dans toutes les langues. Niveau écologie je trouve que c'est plus que moyen. Aujourd'hui un QR code qui rédirige vers une page web serait largement suffisante. Pour cela j'enlève une étoile.

We are really sorry if the sound quality of our HTS350 did not live up to your expectations. The loudness as well as the sound quality of this soundbar will also depends on the source that you're playing and audio device that you are using. The HTS350 features a sound mode that is tailored to sound sources and voice mode to make dialogs clearer. If you haven't yet, you can adjust it to your liking by pressing the buttons on the remote control. We also suggest having your S350 placed closer to the ear level to allow you to hear more details. If the bar is mounted low, you may not have the best listening experience.

We got this as a gift from our children. We had a few problems hooking it up as we needed an HDMI cable and didn't have one, but after getting one it was very easy to install. The sound quality is great but the only problem we have with it is the sound does not go extra loud. This is only a problem because our mancave has a propane heater that is quite loud when it kicks on and we need some extra volume at times. In a normal setting, I'm sure the volume would be sufficients. Very satisfied!

Long handshake time when connected to a Sony OLED

After turning on the TV the sound bar and internal speakers fight for who will transmit the sound. I receive multiple pop ups on the screen saying the audio is being switched to "External Speakers", then it says audio being switched to TV speakers. This goes on 3 or 4 times. Very annoying. Can't use the manual buttons on the sound bar if it is mounted flush to the bottom of the TV. Poor design
