I only recently purchased this Model I also have the A6000 & the A7mk2 having returned from a Recent four day trip to the Malaga area of Spain where my shooting was very mixed street,landscape,night shots I used a Sigma 18-300mm + Sigma MC11 for most of the time.I can honestly say that i was very impressed with the A6500 .Whether there is much difference in IQ from the A6000 can leave that to the pixel peepers .Would i recommend this most definately. Still to try it out on sport and wild life but thats for another time.A bit about me I am a retired enthusiast photographer who enjoys all types of photography also not a Sony fanboy just someone that knows a good product

Upgraded from a5100 to a6500. Well worth the upgrade. Now have choice of viewfinder or screen. still love being able to focus by touching screen for focus point. Now I dont have to go through menus to get favourite adjustments - just click on 'c' or other buttons. Don't do movie's so cannot comment on that My A3 size prints are brilliant quality

Ich habe lange überlegt, much dann für Alpha 6500 entschieden, ich bin Anfängerin, mir war wichtig das sie mir hilft sich selber zu stabilisieren. Sie einen eingebauten Blitz und das es verschieden objektive gibt. Bereue Meine Entscheidung nicht. Ich lerne sie jeden Tag mehr kennen und freu mich einfach wenn meine Fotos für eine Anfängerin gut sind ,noch nicht perfekt.

Ich habe mir die Kamera zugelegt, weil sie den eingebauten OSS hat, von der Bildqualität gibt es sonst keine großen Veränderungen zum Modell a6300, das ich mir vorher gekauft hatte. Was ich besonders mag ist die Robustheit der Kamera, die aber gleichzeitig dafür sorgt, dass die Kamera schwer ist. Außerdem kann ich mit dieser Kamera das Mikrofon manuell aussteuern, was mir bei der a6300 gefehlt hatte.

I have been a user of Sony full frame cameras for 7 years. Early in the pandemic I had an opportunity to buy a Sony A6500. I was tempted by the idea of a lighter camera and lens as it appealed for when I am out walking all day taking photos. I was amazed by how good the results were. The full frame cameras have the edge in low light or for high resolution, but the A6500 comes very close. Coupled with a Zeiss or G lens you can create great sharp images. I also find the built in flash useful for occasions when you want fill in. If you want a small lightweight camera that produces great results I can recommend the A6500.

Ich habe mir diese Kamera als Zweitkamera zugelegt. Auf Grund des leichten Gewichtes und des kleinen Gehäuses die ideale Kamerabegleitung für meine ausgedehnten Wander- und Bergtouren. Leider kein Klappdisplay. Bei fliegenden Tieren (BiF) ist der AF nicht sehr präzise.

Koupil jsem ho z druhé ruky za slušnou cenu, oproti A6600, která se mi zdá předražená. A6500 má vše co mi na A6000, kterou taky vlastním chybí, snad kdyby konstruktéři přidali roller dopředu na grip, a v případě dotykového displeje umožnili snímání dotykem byl by to dokonalý přístroj.

Hatte gute Erfahrung mit der a6000 gemacht. Da ich viel reise, fotografiere ich viel aus der Hand, und zwar auch mit größeren Brennweiten und geringeren Lichtwerten der Objektive (Zoom). Dafür kaufte ich mir dann die a6500 wegen ihres Stabilisators und bin zufrieden. Der Moment, ab dem das Bild verwackelt ist, ist jetzt tatsächlich weiter hinausgeschoben. Jetzt werden auch mehr Fotos mit größerer Brennweite (bis 200mm Kleinbild) aus dem fahrenden Auto heraus möglich. Es gibt weitere Unterschiede zwischen den Kameras, aber die nutze ich weniger. Die a6000 hat nun das 10-18mm Zoom, die a6500 das 18-200 mm Zomm. Demnächst bekommt sie ein 18-300mm Zoom.

Eigentlich eine tolle Kamera, aber das Display kann man nicht umklappen und der Touchscreen ist nur bedingt bedienbar, da man hierüber keine Funktionen der Kamera verstellen kann. Für eine Kamera in der Preisklasse kann man mehr erwarten.

Ich bin weiß Gott nicht der beste Fotograf, hatte vorher eine α350 mit der ich schon sehr zufrieden war, aber die α6500 ist die beste Kamera die ich bisher hatte und kann ich nur Jedem empfehlen.

Lieder wurde mir die 6500 gestohlen, jedoch kaufte ich mir sofort die dann neuere 6400 wegen des weiter entwickelten Autofokus. Als in die Jahre gekommener Leica Fotograph schätze ich sehr die vielseitigen Möglichkeiten der Alpha Serien, um in Grenzbereiche der Fotographie vorzustoßen. Besonders manuelle ältere Objektive, die alle noch eine "Seele" haben, sind leicht adaptierter. Der Autofokus ist atemberaubend und die Zeissobjektive liefern eine unschlagbare Bildqualität.

There is so much to love about the A6500. I bought it with the 18-135 lens and it's brilliant for almost all everyday situations, the size and weight are great (especially for hiking) , the auto focus in particular is super fast and accurate. I love the latitude of the pictures, you can seriously under expose parts of the image and have other bits over exposed and using Lightroom process the image to look just right. Tracking auto focus for photographing birds and animals is fantastic. There are 2 things I do not like 1) the screen has very limited movement, I thought I would be able to live with it but it's hopeless for proper low level photography of flowers etc, you can not use it at all in a portrait orientation and for that reason I wouldn't buy a camera with this screen again (why do Sony think only Full frame users want a proper screen!) and 2) After 2 years mine has become unreliable, sometimes it just freezes, sometimes the buttons and dials behave in a very strange way, sometimes it just seems to have a life of its own.... which is very frustrating! I do not use it for video so I find it impossible to rate the sound quality!

Warum an diese Kamera über kein Schwenkdisplay verfügt wohl aber die A77, ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Derzeit kann ich keine Bilddaten übertragen, weil es programmtechnische Probleme gibt. Mal sehen, wann dieses Problem behoben wird?

Schön kompakt auch im Urlaub und unterwegs. Ambitionierte Fotografie möglich vom Makro über Portrait und Landschaft. Mit dem richtigen Objektiv beeindruckende Kontraste und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Das einarbeiten in die vielen Möglichkeiten erfordert viel Praxis. Die vielen kleinen Tricks muss man sich mühsam zusammensuchen. Das ist noch Bedarf an Unterstützung. Ich habe mir angewöhnt - im Gegensatz zu früheren Kameras - nur noch über den Sucher zu fotografieren - das geht hervorragend. Was mich stört: Beim Einstellrad vertut man sich öfter und ab und zu löse ich ungewollt die übertragungsfunktion aus. Fazit: für mich das richtige Werkzeug für einen Entwicklungssprung in Richtung Qualität und Anwendungsvielfalt.

Es gibt nur einen Kritikpunkt , das beim Filmen das Display stark abgedunkelt wird und besonders im Freien kaum was zu sehen ist. Es ist kaum möglich das zu filmende nachzuverfolgen . Ansonsten eine Superkamera .

Hi, Ich habe die Kamera nun über ein halbes Jahr und in der Hauptsache für Videos des privaten Umfeldes im Einsatz. Sie macht in Kombi mit den richtigen Objektiven echt wahnsinnig gute Aufnahmen. Unter der Stabilisierung hatte ich mit allerdings deutlich mehr erhofft. Da ist ein gutes Gimbal unverzichtbar, leider. Das machen andere mittlerweile um Welten besser. Wer aber ein solches Gimbal einsetzt erhält mit dem entsprechenden Händchen Kino reife Aufnahmen in einer wirklich beeindruckenden Qualität. Der Sprung zum Vollformat ist für den privaten Zweck nicht wirklich sinnvoll. Da bekommt man hier ein wesentlich besseres Preis/Leistungsverhältnis! Die nächste Generation hat auch hoffentlich USB-C! Das sind Kleinigkeiten die etwas stören, ansonsten TOP!

Für mich eine absolut edle Kamera. Vorneweg: ich bin seit langen Jahren Hobbyfotograf. Städtereisen, Skitouren, Wohnmobilreisen, Sport, Spiel, Familie und Feste.. Stillleben. Ich sammle Eindrücke, strapaziere meine Familie schon manches Mal mit zuvielen Fotos (die später wieder zur Freude führen). Was ich zu wenig mache: filmen. Das werde ich ändern. Manches Bild wandert ins Album, die meisten schaue ich auf dem großen PC Monitor an - immer wieder. Die A6500 folgte vor rund 1 Jahr der A6000, mit der ich bereits zufrieden war. Als ich die A6500 aber erstmals in Händen hielt, war ich schon allein dadurch begeistert: die Kamera hat einen verstärkten Griff, ein im Verhältnis zum Gehäuse sehr angenehmes, höheres Gewicht und ist klasse ausbalanciert. Der positive Eindruck setzt sich bei der Sucherauflösung fort, die deutlich höher auflöst als bei ihrem Vorgänger und sehr viel Freude macht. Klasse bedienbar auch die frei einstellbaren Festtasten C1 und C2 oben in der Nähe des Auslösers. Das Menü kannte ich, ist hier um einige Parameter erweitert, neue Registerkarten speziell für das Filmen sind hinzugekommen. Silentmode vorhanden. Die Kamera hat einen internen Bildstabilisator, das war der eigentliche Kaufanreiz. Aber der ist durch die genannten Punkte einer von vielen geworden. Was mir am Gehäuse auch sehr gefällt - außer, dass es aus Metall ist - , ist der jetzt "festere" e-mount: die Objektive werden stärker und ohne merkliches Spiel fixiert. Den eingebauten Blitz benutze ich selten, aber wenn ich ihn brauche, ist er da - einfach gut. Akku? Habe ich. 1 in der Kamera, 2 extra. Immer dabei, immer ausreichend. Nach der Kür, nun die Pflicht, die Bildergebnisse: 1A. Voraussetzung sind gute Objektive. Und hier kann ich sagen, dass schon das Kit sehr ordentliche Ergebnisse liefert. Gewohnt klasse sind die Sonys (Vario und Fix), davon habe ich verschiedene. Ein 1.4 Sigma Weitwinkel hat sich für knapp 400 € eingeschlichen - man glaubt es nicht, es ist neben dem Immerdrauf f4/16-70 das meistverwendete Objektiv. Kaufempfehlung. Preis (meiner war 850,-), Spaß, Ziel, alles perfekt. Sorry für die lange Rezension, die Punkte sind es mir wert.

Ich habe die Kamera erst seit ca. 14 Tagen und es macht Spaß immer wieder neue Einstellungen auszuprobieren. Sie besitzt soviele Möglichkeiten, das ist schon genial. Die Kamera ist eine echte Herausforderung und ich kann nicht genug davon bekommen. Aus meiner Sicht ist sie sehr Empfehlenswert!

Die Kamera löst schnell aus und macht sehr gute Bilder. Das Rauschverhalten ist auch gering, selbst bei hohen ISO Zahlen. Der Kameragriff ist auch groß genug. Ich habe große Hände. Ich bin über 1,9m. Der einzige Mangel der mich stört, ist das Display. Man kann es nicht klappen wie bei anderen Herstellern.

I bought this camera to persue my hobby. I know it an expensive hobby to pressure but hoby is a hobby. This camera has great features and I am loving it. I had it with 18-135 sony lenses, the feature like image stabilization is great. The only down side is the video can't go over 30 minutes.

Super mit Adapter und Minolta-MD/MC-Objektiven

Bin vor einem Monat von analogen Minoltas (XD7, XE1) auf eine Sony a 6500 umgestiegen, wobei ich mit einem linsenlosen Adapter meine alten Objektive weiter verwende. Besonders gute Bildqualität haben m.A. nach die folgenden MC-Objektive: 50mm1:1,4 PG. 100mm 1:2,5 Berg und Tal. 135mm 1:2,8. Rokkor PF 58mm 1:1,4. 200mm 1:3,5. 300mm 1:4,5. Auto-Rokkor-PF 58mm 1:1,4. Sowie folgende MD-Objektive: 50mm Makro, 100mm Makro, 35mm 1:2,8. 28mm 1:2,8. 24mm 1:2,8. Die Bildqualität läßt sich steigern durch deutliches Abblenden. Die Brennweiten verlängern sich leicht: aus einem 24mm wird ein 35mm, aus einem 28mm wird ein 40mm, aus einem 35mm wird ein 50mm, aus einem 50mm wird ein 70mm, aus einem 58mm wird ein 80mm, aus einem 100mm wird ein 140mm, aus einem 135mm wird ein 180mm, und aus einem 200mm wird ein 265mm (circa-Werte). Das Bokeh der ältesten hier aufgeführten Objektive ist besonders sahnig. Die selbst einstellbare Schärfe und Unschärfe ist für mich sehr wichtig. Der Sucher mit Augenmuschel ist sehr gut einsetzbar. Das auto-iso ist nicht immer geeignet. Bei schlechtem Licht und bei Makro würde ich fest ISO 10000 einstellen oder höher, wenn leichte Körnigkeit nicht stört. Die Helligkeit von Sucher und Screen habe ich leicht erhöht eingestellt. Bei der Farbfotografie verwende ich die Einstellung "klar". Besonders schön ist die SW-Einstellung, wobei ich Kontrast und Schärfe maximal angehoben habe. Die hochkontrastige SW-Einstellung ist bei Verwendung meiner manuellen Objektive nicht nutzbar. Ich habe schon nach einem Monat Benutzung der a 6500 mehr Möglichkeiten und spannendere Fotos als ich analog in einem halben Jahr hatte.

Acheté en remplacement de l'ancien dont la griffe flash s'est désolidarisée (utilisation flash cobra régulière). Trouvé 2 vis totalement dévissées sur la griffe, les 2 autres en partie. Appareil précédent HS après resserrage de la griffe moi-même (car plus garantie). Problème apparemment connu par la marque et non réglé!!

Die a6500 ersetzt meine bis heute tadellos funktionierende a6000. Der integrierte Stabilisator und das solide Gehäuse sind nur einige Gründe warum die a6000 nun in die zweite Reihe aber natürlich nicht in Rente geht. Da ich nur mit lichtstarken Festbrennweiten arbeite kann ich diese dank des gleichen E-Mount Anschlusses und des in der a6500 integrierten Stabilisators noch vielseitiger nutzen. Die a6500 wirkt noch ausgereifter und wertiger als die a6000. positiv: Geschwindigkeit, Einstellmöglichkeiten und die kompakte Form negativ: der Akku könnte etwas Leistungsfähiger sein, was aber beim Nachfolgemodell a6600 schon realisiert wurde

I don't understand. Follow all procedure. Setup Access Point access correctly. Download to PlayMemories Desktop via USB is fine. But when choosing "send to computer", it just can't work. Very frustrated with SONY software.

First off, this is by far my MOST used camera. I purchased it when it first came out.Besides this camera taking AWESOME photos, I also like the fact that the BUFFER provides 36 seconds of continuous shooting!!!! (Approx. 307 photos.) The following photos were taken between Iso 200 and 6400 under EXTREME Mixed Lighting conditions.

Ich habe mir meine a6500 vor einem 3/4 Jahr gekauft. Sie hat mir bis dato auch gut gedient. Jedoch, hat sie wie im Titel schon erwähnt einige Mankos, die da wären: -das Display hat auch dafür, dass die Kamera 2015 erst released wurde eine zu schwache Auflösung die einem nicht sonderlich gut die Beurteilung erlaubt, ob das Bild jetzt scharf oder unscharf ist. -das Display hat so eine Blöd Abtrennung zwischen Rändern und Display, welche luftblasen wirft, sollte man eine Glasschutzfolie aufziehen. (Siehe Bild 1) -die Kamera hat kein USB-C und auch ihre Nachfolger größtenteils nicht, was eine Schande ist, da auch der Micro-USB-A sehr fragil ist. - es fehlt eine Kopfhörerbuchse, welche erst in der a6600 eingefügt wurde -die limitierte Aufnahmezeit aus ,,Lizenzrechtlichen“ Gründen ist nervig und lässt einen nicht länger als 29 min. Aufnehmen, auch wenn diese Kamera das technisch eigentlich könnte, da sie nicht wie ihre Schwester (a6300) überhitzt. -Die Kamera leidet, trotz Stabilisierung am Rolling-Shutter effekt, welcher es teilweise fast unmöglich macht qualitativ hochwertige Videos aufzuzeichnen. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen sich entweder die 6600 bei hohem Budget oder die 6400 bei kleinem Budget zu holen. Von der a6500 würd ich jedoch die Finger von lassen, alleine schon wegen des fortgeschrittenen Alters dieses Modells.

Ich nutze die Kamera nun seit Jahren und bin immer sehr zufrieden gewesen. Die Kamera ist zuverlässig. Wirklich Super Bildqualität für einen APS-C-Sensor für Fotos und Videos. Auch fähig für Low Light Aufnahmen. Sehr schneller und treffsicherer Autofokus, guter Bildstabilisator. Leise im Betrieb, teilweise lautlos. Dabei relativ kompakt, leicht und mit reichlicher Auswahl an objektiven. Was mir nicht gefällt: Aus dem Kaltstart braucht die Kamera lang, bis sie aufnahmebereit ist. Für Flat Picture Profile (SLog etc.) Und Colourgrading nur bedingt tauglich, da nur Aufnahmen "nur" in 8bit. 4k nur bis 30fps. Kein Tieraugenfokus und kein Update des Autofokus wie für a6400 und a6600 (das verstehe, wer will Sony!). Kein schwenkbares Display. Das Display wird bei 4k sehr dunkel. Keine Unterstützung der schnellsten SD-Karten (UHS-II U3). Keine softwareseitige Unterstützung für Gimbals (mehrfach angefragt, hat Sony kein Interesse dran). Fazit. Tolle Kamera! Mit Erscheinen eines der Spitzenreiter. Aber das Gerät kommt in die Jahre und Sony jagt der Konkurrenz aktuell ohne Antwort hinterher.

Sehr gute Kamera, die zum jetzigen Preis auch recht günstig ist. Die Bildqualität und der Dynamikumfang sind sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig aber logisch aufgebaut. Der Akku ist viel zu schach und die eingeschränkte Beweglichkeit des Displays im Hochformat kann stören. Die Objektive sind i.d.R recht teuer. Aber da gibt es auch gute gebrauchte. Mit der 6500 hat man eine kleine, leichte und extrem vielseitige fast Profi - Kamera für alle Situationen. Der Fokus ist superschnell und präzise, der Stabilisator integriert, Serienbilder in schneller Abfolge(Sport, Tier und Kinderfotografie). Ideal für unterwegs, da es auch sehr kompakte Objektive gibt. Vielseitiges Zubehör erhält man u.a. günstig bei Fremdanbietern. Das Rauschverhalten bei Dunkelheit ist ordentlich. Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. In dieser Preisklasse ( Body jetzt unter 900,-- Euro) gibt es wohl kam etwas besseres. Matthias

Das Gerät wurde vor kurzem erworben. Bisher kann ich keine wirklichen Schwächen erkennen, klar ist die Akkuleistung nicht soooo hoch wie bei Nachfolgemodellen aber ich kann doch sehr lange damit arbeiten. Ersatzakkus hat man ja meist eh dabei. Sie ist ein sehr treuer Begleiter für kleine und große Touren.

Not a good as my old Canon

I am very much an amateur photographer and bought this as I wanted to update from my 15 year old Canon digital SLR. Disappointed! The old Canon was simple to use - instruction were included whereas the Sony instructions are all online which takes times to register and download, two types of software need, one of which is £7.99. Not a happy - should have stuck to Canon.

Despite taking excellent photos in both 16:9 or 3:2 ratios, this camera limits itself by ignoring popular aspect ratios found in both cheaper and older Sony cameras. This forces any user after a few quick 1:1 pictures to guess where the borders will be, and crop the image in post, potentially losing image quality and trimming details from the photos.

My 2nd APS-C Sony (first was NEX-7). Much better autofocus and low-light performance. I like the optical stabilization. Lenses are smaller than full-frame making the package easier to travel with. Resulting images are excellent.

Habe die Kamera jetzt etwas über 1 Jahr und bin eigentlich begeistert über die tollen Bilder. Demnächst sollte ein Vollformatkamera folgen, bin aber noch am Überlegen. So toll der Fotoapparat ist, so wenig gefällt mir der Support. Eine Verbindung mit dem Smartphone bekomme ich nicht hin, warum auch immer. Und wirklich Hilfe bekomme ich da nicht. Habe noch eine Canon herumliegen, da geht das total einfach.

Sehr zufrieden bis jetzt . Wenn Imaging Edge Mobile funktionieren würde gäbe es alle fünf Sterne von mir . Warum macht Sony aus einer gut funktionierenden Anwendung solch eine Krücke, so macht man sich den guten Ruf garantiert kaputt !!!

Capable but Complicated

First time with semi-pro camera. The camera is light and has a lot of capabilities. I would rate it 4 or 4.5 but have to rate less because its so complicated to use. Ok I know I am not experienced user but I am no dummy either. From my knowledge it seems all camera manufacturers do not streamline operation by intelligent user interface software design, and over-all functional software design. Should be 3 clicks or less to operate. For example, just doing a software update is confusing. I should click " connect camera to wifi access point" , click "sony.com a6500 update URL" , click start download.... yet can not do that. This is the prime example of the software term "creeping elegance" .

Habe die Kamera als Nachfolger der meiner 6000er erworben. Hauptgründe -> Rauschverhalten und interner Bildstabilisator inkl. schnellerem / besserem Autofokus. Die Kamera ist wirklich toll und treffsicher!
