The BVM-F24 is a 16:9 widescreen flat CRT monitor designed for the digital cinema age.
This 24-inch monitor will be used primarily for critical evaluation of E-cinema content such as motion pictures and television productions produced in the HD 1080/24P standard. It is a high scan monitor with the flexibility to display both analogue RGB and HD-SDI signals at horizontal frequencies of between 54 kHz to 90 kHz and vertical frequencies of between 48 Hz to 75 Hz.
For critical electronic cinematography applications, the BVM-F24 features internal circuitry to virtually eliminate flicker when viewing 24fps material. Through a frame rate conversion process, a single frame of a 24fps sequence is scanned two or three times to increase the frame rate to 48 or 72 Hz. In addition to this two- and three-times signal conversion, the monitor also supports a variety of HD formats including 1080/25PsF, 1080/25P (displayed at x2 or x3 frame rate), 1080/30PsF, 1080/30P, 1080/30P (displayed at x2 frame rate) signals and native 1080/24P, 1080/24P (displayed at x2 or x3 frame rate), and 1080/25P signals.
The BVM-F24 accepts dual link 4:4:4 mode HD-SDI signals including 1080/24P, 1080/24PsF, 1080/30PsF and 1080/60I. The BVM-F24 also offers digital uniformity correction, digital convergence, beam landing correction and automatic presets for white balance and contrast and brightness.
Superb picture reproduction
This monitor provides very high-resolution pictures for the most critical picture evaluation. Sony manufactured Trinitron CRTs provide excellent colour uniformity and performance.
HD Multiformat signal support
This monitor accepts a wide variety of high definition digital signals which gives you the freedom to choose many display formats.
The BVM-F24 has been designed to fulfil the requirements of E-Cinema production in 24P format. Its internal processing allows the elimination of flicker in the 24P format by repeating each frame twice or three times.
This mode allow the reproduction of the highest possible bandwidth for both luminance and chrominance signals providing very sharp and crisp images.
