Iplayer malfunctioning - S370 Blu-ray

Hi,

 

My Sony s370 Bluray player which I bought six months ago has suddenly stopped connecting to the BBC iplayer, all other services 5demand etc. still work. I don't understand why, can anyone help?

 

The following error message now appears: "There is no response from the DNS. Please check network settings and try again".

 

I am based in the UK and I have not changed any settings, physical connections or my ISP since before iplayer was last working. Struggling to pinpoint the cause.

    Hi Mark,

    Are you using the S370 with the wireless dongle?  If so have you tried connecting by ethernet cable to see if it the wireless setup or something else?

    No I never bought the wireless adapter instead I spent my money on a set of 'Homeplugs' which turn your mains electric circuit into a LAN network.

     

    I have tried to reset my box but that has been to no avail, problem is still there

    V strange as all your other services are working ok. Are you able to test it on a friends broadband connection as well? It may be that your IP address is being blocked by the BBC/ISP for some reason. Where abouts are you based?

    I'm based in South Wales, reading through the forums it could be that I've got a tiscali/talktalk internet connection? Yes all other services ok.
