My Vaio all in one desk top, which I have had for 8 years, has been slowing down and finally refuses to reboot, even in safe mode. All i get is the brief flash of a blue screen, then we are back to safe mode choice. How do I reboot this before I lose all the data since I last used the PC?

If it used to beep and it doesn't now then it isn't POSTing.

Turn it off and unplug EVERYTHING. Leave it for a few minutes then plug the power cord in. Turn it on and see what happens.
