My Vaio is 2 years old

I recently saw in maintenance that I should run DIAGNOSTICS on Hard Disc

After running, it states,

Surface Scan did not pass (E-HDD-004)=

Run CHDSK to recover wrong sector (E-HDD-005)

I have done that, and re-run DIAGNOSTICS, and it gives the same message as above

Is there anything else I can do?

Surely the Hard Disc cannot be useless after just two years!
