dear sony just to let you know that I will be buying the new nexus seven when it is released android 4.3 no its not a fairy-tale it exsists and your incompetence at building a machine which is not even two years future proof is staggering in its own right the tablet s should have been updated to android 4.1 very bad sony very bad I should get a refund of my four hundred pounds I spent on this

Hello everyone,

Really hoping you guys can help please?

I am really keen to buy the New Xperia Z I was going to buy one of the ASUS transformer pads,but I think SONY have come up with a first class product (Hope so)?

One thing i would like to do is use the Xperia as my music server i have a lot of top quality Music files ~ 24/96 Quality.and I would like to know if it is possible to add an outboard DAC/AMP to enhance further the sound quality of the Tablet z?

I tried to find the answers on online Computer music Forums!! but it is hard work trying to get a straight answer especially if you are not very technical like me!

so any help/advice appreciated

Sideview App set up

Hi, so I recently bought a Xperia S tablet (SGPT12). I exitedly updated the Sideview app' and I am now struggling to find out why there is no 'Watch' button when I select a program from the guide. My tv is a Sony KDL46NX723. I really do not want to hear there's a compatablity issue, hopefully it's a setting I have neglected either on the tablet or tv?

Also, I am not seeing my USB pocket drive which was formatted FAT32 on my Windows laptop. I dont really want to reformat as there is loads of stuff on there.

Huge thanks to anyone who can help with these couple of issues, I have dug around elsewhere and now need the experts to help me out.

Can't use my stylus since Jelly Bean update

Around the time that I applied the Jelly Bean update to my Xperia S I noticed that my stylus (one of those soft-tipped ones) was no longer working after a couple of months' use with no problems.

I'm not technically minded, so can someone tell me if there is any way the update could have caused this? If not, do you have any other suggestions for its sudden failure?

Why does my apps keep disappearing from the home screen?

Hi, I recently purchased a sony tablet s and have downloaded some aps for my daughter. I add them to the home screen then when finished turn down the system. When we go to use it again some of the apps have disappeared? they are still on the tablet but in the apps and widgets section. Why does it do this?

Also when we are loaing up the tablet the sony icon flashes on, goes black then the swirly gold screen comes on.This process repeats itself about 5 times before it allows you to unlock it. Surely this can't be right? Can it?

The jelly bean update that came for xperia tablet s is missing lot features.

Its like jelly bean stripped off all features.......

Jelly bean homescreen missing.

Project butter more like project stutter......................

Fonts supose look nice and awesome they look pixelated and blurry............

Jelly bean lockscreen missing.

Jelly bean lockscreen security options missing.

4.0.4 added face unlock missing

4.1 added blink requirement both are missing.

4.1.1 came with many bugs.

Most anoying issue currently is clock drift which makes clock fall behind 5 10 15+ minuts some people have it some don't clearly software / update problem.

If had it in past on 4.0.3 release6b i known issue is real lot people having this now with 4.1.1

Anyway to put simple............

I did't wait 7 month's for this half assed update, plz hurry up add missing features polish the update, fix the most anoying bugs asap, and fix all the other bugs that me and others have reported asap..........

I can't enjoy this tablet untill its already to late STOP BEING SO LATE WITH EVERYTHING!

replacement did't fix my problems with software thats BECAUSE ITS SOFTWARE!.

but i guess sony is little stupid to realise that........

And no google is't the one making firmware...........

Xperia Tablet S Stuck on Sony boot screen

Hey guys I was in the middle of updating from ICS to Jelly Bean. So after it was completed it turned off and I tried rebooting it. Next thing you know the sony logo shows but its stuck at that point so I basically can't do anything.

Luckilly I can get into the recovery menu so all is not lost. I tried flashing the zip of the official Jelly bean update but no luck I get a weird error message. : ( .

These slow updates and fixes are really unacceptable, especialy if you payed premium .............

They have yet to fix the old tablet s1 since launch.

And the same problems with tablet s1 exist on xperia tablet s which been broken since launch asswell.

Camera is bugged when you release thumb it un focuses then take picture instead off taking sharp picture, which is a bug that exist on a lot sony smartphones or tablets.

tablet s1 and xperia tablet s suffer random shutdowns.

Sony had promised to fix this in next jelly bean update then deleted their thread probably to claim that they never promised to fix it in first place.........

i'm expecting a lot more signatures when sony have released the xperia tablet z which will most likely have its own issues.

So the Xperia jellybean update is rolling out but I see now mention of the oiginal Sony Tablet S getting the update despite previous words from Sony about it coming to that in febuary (which is obviously now instead in typical Sony style). So is it coming, or have we been abandoned now with no fixes coming?

When I enter my details into the 'Existing customers please sign in' dialogue box, a panel appears indicating logging in and then times out. I can no longer access any books from the store.

The store on the app is down but the store on the web is still up. What's going on?

Anyone been able to find out if their Xperia Tablet S needs replaced?

Hi,

I just tried putting in my serial number and product ID number into the checker on the Support site:

But all the page does is refresh when I click Submit. Has anyone had any luck with finiding out if theirs needs replaced? My bezel at the back is definitely bent out of shape (beside the dock cover) but just want to check if it is going to be covered by the program.

I just did a software update on my Xperia Tablet S and the browser no longer supports flash! I tried to install the flash player from my app history but it says that my tablet is no longer compatible with Flash11. HELP!!!

When it first came out, I updated t r5a 4.0.3. After a few months of waiting for a jelly bean and getting nothing, I decided I should root and install a custom JB ROM. However, the r5a firmware makes this impossible so I am permanently stuck on ICS. Is there a future possibility that sony will release an update fixing this as soon as the tablet will never see jelly bean?

I bought a Sony Xperia tablet about one month ago. After coulple of weeks ago device started freezing. I doesn't respond. After contacting sony customer support they justs asked to return factory settings. I had even tried reset device several time, but it's even diffucult to pass land and language settings. Only thing what Sony can do after that, they advice me to sent it to their service undersupplier. And Sony said that the problem must caused by some loaded application.That undersupplier can't said how long tome repairing can took, but at least several months due their que.

I returned device to the place where I was purchased it. And we agreed that device does not work. That's clear. The seller asked me to sign a document, that seller is not responsible, because warranty is covered by Sony.

So good is customer service and warranty of Sony here in Finland. I thought to bought quality product, but got nothing but responsibles.

Hi!

Bought a 32gb Xperia Tablet S last Monday and am happy with it. I have this issue at the moment and would appreciate any advice.

If I do not use the tablet for a time, it goes into a 'standby mode' and I can touch the power switch to wake it up. I then slide the unlock icon to make all active again.

However, after a period of non-use, my tablet switches off completely and I have to reboot and can see the SONY screen and then XPERIA screen, before it boots and is ready to use.

Occasionally this reboot happens within 5 minutes of being in sleep mode.

In Settings -> Display, I have set the Power save mode as checked, and Sleep is after 2 minutes. Also in Settings, Developers options, stay awake is checked but I know this relates to when the tablet is being charged

Please can you advise me if there is any settings that I need to change or if I have been unlucky and have a faulty tablet and will need to return it to the Sony Store!

I was told that the tablet has an 'Eco Mode' but that does not make sense because powering off means no mail check etc etc!

No word from Sony on when our beloved but so problematic Tablet will receive the 4.1 or 4.2 update!! It's unstable! Really unstable and sometimes reboots itself, browsing is a torture, WiFi looses it's signal, many problems from lots of people not only me! Do something Sony! Support your €429 4 months old Tablet or stop releasing such devices! Even Koreans do it better! Pfff!!!

Socialife - Facebook dont work

just bought a Sony Xperia Tablet S and trying to get Socialife to work. I can log in with my Facebook "Can not autenticifere with the online service" and I get logged off. Have tried to log out, delete chache, stop the app, reboot, delete everything on Facebook for Socialife app. Nothing works.

It is the correct password I use to log on Socialife via Facebook, I checked. Please help
