Hey, I will be buying a cooler for my laptop Sony Vaio VPCEB4Z1E.

As far as I can tell, this computers gets the air out from the left side, the fan itself evacuates the air that way.

I will get a cooler because at max usage I've seen max temperatures of 70º C. That's not really common, it's usually at 65-68ºC max and around 40ºC on standby (CPU temps). I want the laptop to be as cool as possible.

Could you please share your experience with coolers? I was considering a single 160mm fan cooler unless I find a double 140mm or so. I guess it doesn't matter, or does it really matter?

I've never used a cooler and I'd like to hear some ideas.

Hello anyone

Hope you can help me - I live in Ireland, heading to the USA for conference and need to know what kind of adaptor I need. I thought I needed something to step-up given the voltage difference between Ireland and US but my local shop says not, that I can buy a standard Ireland/US adaptor and the VAIO plug will handle the rest.

Do I need a converter too and, if so, where do you get them?

Any advice - I am in two minds and cannot afford to damage my much loved Vaio.

Is there any reason why my Vaio VPCS11H7E will only output an analog signal via the VGA output from a VGP-PRS10 docking station?

I've looked on the Sony site for a manual and/or drivers for the docking station but no luck so far.

iTunes Library Keeps getting Deleted

Ive had a sony vaio laptop for well over a year now, and been very happy with it. However, in the last few months my itunes library has been repeatedly deleted from my itunes. After googling the problem i found the sony vaio may be the problem because of a software clash.

I couldnt find a definite fix for this.

If i could get rid of any sony software that is doing this, does anyone know what to uninstall, i dont want to delete things if i dont have to.

Ive tried looking at other threads, some suggested changing the name of the music folder, but it has made no difference.

I wanted to call sony but they are closed for the evening, thought i might try on here.

Sony Vaio Laptop Not Working Properly.....Windows 7

Dear Team,

I have sony Viao laptop with Windows 7 installed.

Model: VPCCW2SIE/B

My laptop is not working properly, For every one hour automaticially system will get shut down. when it takeing more load ( I mean when I open internet tabs more than one or two tabs, photo, videos, Using skype with webcam....etc) and also system is working very slowly.When I open videos from internet the videos will not work smoothly , it get struck for few minutes , then it works and gradually it strucks..and finally the system will get shut down.If I start Immediately system will get shut down and need to wait for 20 mins to restart system.

System also makes too much of noise when it's running.

I tried to do computer recovery but could not do because when I entre into,

Start--All Programme--Viao Care Floder-- Click on Viao Care--On LHS-Recovery and Restore -- from here I get two option Restore Windows et Launch Vaio Recovery...When I choose "Lauch Vaio Recovery"....I am enterting into "VAIO Recovery Centre" ...here I have diffrerent options related to restore but not the option of Computer Recovery...I don't have same option like given in below link..

Some items I also get an error as 0x00054eec7 and system will get shut down.

I kindly request you all to address all issue and advise with what to do to run my laptop smoothly???

DC IN Port has gone loose

Hi all,

I have a Sony Vaio and over time, the DC IN Port has become more and more loose so that now the power supply doesnt stay in very well on its own and only charges some of the time.

Do I need to buy a new port or a new power cable, etc? Where do I get it and can I do this myself?

Hi all,

I have a Sony Vaio which has the following details:

Model (back of laptop): PCG-3J1M

Model Number (under display): VGN-FW51JF

Battery Pack: VGP-BPS13/S

There seems to be a lot of compatible batteries out there but are they as good, and if not where can I get a genuine replacement battery as I cannot find any on the sony website. The battery is only holding its charge for about 10 minutes so I think its time to change!!

I am trying to copy audio files from my sony IC recorder ICD SX25. I have updated the digital voice editor but it will not support this recording device. The original software doesn't work because it is pre windows 7. Is there anything I can do please?

Dear ANYONE, I having serious problems making my Sony Vaio Laptop accept my Canon MP495 printer. It occasionally prints, hardly ever scans and maybe might work normally. I've been onto the Canon website and downloaded the windows 8 system, I've contacted Knowhow(PC World), also contacted Canon who gave me a link but nothing seems to work. Maximum resolution for the HDMI output on VGP-PRS35 ?

What is the maximum resolution throug HDMI output on a VGP-PRS35 docking station. I'm looking for a new external monitor with at least resolution of 1920x1200 or even 2560x1440.

Technical data on my notebook Sony Vaio SVS1511V9EB states that 1920x1200 is only possible throug VGA, and again HDMI is only FullHD 1920x1080. But would it be possible to get higher resolution from the port replicators HDMI output???

VGP-PRS35 not showing full-hd with HDMI to DVI cable, possible a HDCP problem?

Hello,

Could this be a High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) problem? I have a DELL monitor with only VGA and DVI inputs and HDMI to DVI cable. Everything goes fine with the HDMI output on my Vaio, but through port replicator I cannot use full-hd -resolution. I tried two different cables and checked that both are working with other computers. Now I'm forced to use VGA cable and the picture quality is not very good...

Any hints to solve this problem? Could this be a High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) problem and how to avoid it?

Hi All,

Ive recently been given a Sony wireless keyboard (VGP-WKB11). I own a Dell Dimension E521, XP SP3, (and Sony Viao laptop), and was hoping to be able to connect the Sony wireless keyboard to the dell.

However, I am unable to confirm:

a) whether this is possible? and if so

b) which wireless wireless input receiver is required?

I have found a few online such as VGP-WRC1/B (internal PCI Express RF) or the external USB VGP-WRC5.

Are either of these compatable? Or is there a specific wireless receiver for the VGP-WKB11?

Your help wil be much appreciated.!
