Thank you for your reply , it is wierd that sony produce many Blu-ray players capable of playing SA-CD over HDMI in DSD yet i struggle to find a amp with DSD in the specs.

i have emailed sony and yet 5 days later have not recieved a reply

the 820 has replaced the 810 yet i cannot find DSD on its spec sheet

would any one know if the 820 is capable of DSD

The other optuion i have looked at is replacing my Sony with a Cambridge Audio which has 7.1 anologue connect, how ever i would like to keep to Sony if possible

Hi all

can any body answer the question please

is my Sony STR DH 810 compatible with DSD i had a sony blu-ray which can play my SA-CD collection which i cannot get multi channel through my amp

i can find a small reference to DSD in the manual which doesn,t make any sense to me,

i am not the brainiest of people mind.........any help appreciated

even the richer sounds and 7 oaks are lost with my quetsion
