Ultraviolet vision

Nikon d70 uses normal ccd with bayer mask, which has to block ultraviolet. But bayer filter ignores infrared light and actually cameras are very sensitive to it. It is infrared mirror that blocks most IR.

Standart lens are from borosilicate glass which allows UV up to 300nm if they don't have blocking coatings. So it's not big problem. However fused silica lens allow ultraviolet up to 200nm and that is maximum ccd sensitivity.

Bayer sensors block ultraviolet light. But what about Foveon X3 and 3CCD sensors?

I'm interested in ultraviolet photography so I have these questions:

1) Does Sony DCR110e lens already have coatings that block ultraviolet light?

2) Is CCD replaceable? Maybe I can find ccd that is UV sensitive or modify other to be sensitive.

Ok, so this camcorder max resolution is 1024x576p? I saw some videos 720p on youtube made by this camcorder.

Does video quality depend on media transfer speed. Dcr110e maximum quality is 9mbps. I currently use minidvd 2x media(2.770 MB/s). Does that mean that quality is automatically lowered?

Hello, can Sony develop firmware to add extra picture effect for DVD110e. I noticed for example with sepia effect low light view seems more clearer. Green color is known to be most sensitive to eyes. So I need black&green sceen and if possible enchanced contrast effect to look at stars, ufo's.

What type memory stick I need?

Another problem is that document says that my camcorder doesnt support memory stick with "Magic Gate" protection. I can't find any card that is without magic gate. Any suggestions?
