Re: Disgusted at extra charge for Recovery Disks!!

i find it really frustrating that we have to create our own recovery disks! other latpops i've bought in the past all have them included. I tried to create a recovery disk- but it doesn't let you use a portable hard drive to do a recovery disk, and i don't have any other forms of storage that are big enough to hold the 21GB needed to create a recovery disk cheap move by sony to not include a recovery disk, am disappointed in them

Re: How are you supposed to do a middle click on the trackpad?

thanks for the reply Rich,

whilst that function is useful, it is not the same as the middle click function that I'm searching for. Doing a middle click on a link on a browser opens that link in a new tab, and is thus much quicker than doing a right click and then selecting "open in new tab". The middle click also allows you to easily close open tabs with a single click.

On a dedicated mouse- the middle click is performed by pressing the scroller button, and on most laptops you can emulate it by pressing both the left and right click buttons at the same time. however, on the new sony vaio's there are no separate buttons for left and right click so i dont know how to do a middle click. it's really frustrating that laptop manufacturers dont think of this

How are you supposed to do a middle click on the trackpad?

Hi all,

I have just received my new Sony Vaio E series. The trackpad doesn't have separate buttons for Left click and Right click like most traditional laptops, but this makes it impossible to do a middle click (where you press both left and right at the same time). I press middle click all the time for browsing the web, in order to open new tabs etc, and it's so ingrained in my web browsing that not being able to do it is proving very frustrating does anyone know whether it's possible to do a middle click on the new Vaio's somehow?

I would be grateful for any help. Thanks!
