you mean you can delete the files directly via the pc when using a card reader rather than the camera?

I already tried using the highlight/delete method and that also won't work. I already have the software installed but don't really care for using it. I prefer to plug my camera into my pc, click browse and drag the folder onto my computer from my camera. it's way less hassle than having to select individual images to import.

and besides, that method doesn't work either because it was one of the first things I tried.

it's bad enough trying to force people to use proprietary software to do unnecessay tasks, but it's worse when even that won't do what you want it to.

is there any way to delete images and videos on my camera when it's connected to my pc, rather than have to do it via the camera's internal menus?

when I am choose to browse the images on my pc when my camera is connected, it won't let me right-click to delete them.

HX100V: clicking when autofocusing

I've had my sony HX100V camera for a while now, and up until today, I have had no issues with it.

however, upon taking it out of the box today to take some pictures, I have noticed there is an annoying double-clicking sound every time the camera autofocuses. the clicking sound happens whether the autofocus is triggered automatically, or by pressing the shoot button half way down.

this has only been happening since today, and I can't find the reason why.

anyone know why it is making this irritating clicking sound?

after posting a thread for assistance on these forums a week ago about auto resuming from the last point of a movie, without any help whatsoever, I have given up on any hope of any "support" for that particular matter.

I now have another area I would like some help with.

as there is seemingly no answer to my previous question, could someone tell me how to go about adding and resuming bookmarks on movies? I find it totally frustrating having to resume movies from the start, having to sit through the excessively abundant & tedious intro sections and menus, all of which when I try I am told by my player cannot be skipped.

any help would be appreciated, if it's not too much trouble that is!

hello.

I bought a BDP-S480 Blu-Ray player the other day, and I have noticed that sometimes it doesn't save the movie at the point I was last at.

I understand that this feature may be disk dependant, but it has remembered the last point I was up to the first time I resumed the movie I was watching, and ever since, when I turn on my player, it just plays the movie from the start.

is there some way of getting the player itself to remember the last point of a movie, either automatically, or by way of user created book mark? I have had a look to see if I can find any such feature already, but either it doesn't exist, or I am not looking in the right place.
