Since the BD Player is HDMI-CEC enabled, remote commands from your TV are relayed to the Blu-ray player as if the TV remote was the Blu-Ray player remote. You need to press the "Sync Menu" button on the remote and then select the Control TV option. This should then let you send Home, Options and some other commands to the TV itself.

You also have an option to disable HDMI control of your Sharp player by going to settings->External Input settings. I would not recommend doing this though. Why use 2 remotes when you can use just one.

Hope this helps.

Hi All,

I've been having issues with powering on my HX723. Typically it should show the input i.e. HDMI 1/2/3 etc when powered on. However, I don't get any sort of menu displayed on screen when powered on. At this point if I power on my Tivo it immediately switches to that input and things are back to normal. If no video input is given than it just remains in the blank screen as if it is turned off. I can hear sounds when pressing menu, home and other keys, just no display.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue ?? Any inputs would be appreciated.

Edit: By power on, I mean bringing it out of standby pressing the remote power button. It is already turned on from the mains.

Message was edited by: SMFire

Message was edited by: SMFire

Again, there's been no information forthcoming about what it fixes. I'll need to try out some 3D stuff to see if anything's been improved. TBH, I was quite happy with the way 3D blu-rays performed but the only big issue for me was really bad crosstalk and lower resolution in Uncharted 3. The game looks mind blowing in 2D, but 3D quality leaves a lot to be desired.

It only partially slotted in, I think this may have to do with different shapes of the NX723 and HX723's base. Returned it now. Any suggestions for other soundbars which are compatible with the HX723 would be welcome. Seen a sharp and an oppo soundbar which looked and within about 200 quid. Might buy one of those.

Cheers.

This will ensure that the Bravia sync works well and then onwards the Home Cinema will be the default sound device. Also, the TV remote would then control the Cinema system volume and all other features. Hope this helps.

HX723 TV compatability with SU-B401S speaker stand

Hi,

I've bought a SU-B401S speaker stand with subwoofer to go with my 40" HX723 TV. The Sony website said that the speaker stand works only with the NX723 however most of the online sites were advertising the stand for both the HX & NX series. Having seen this. I decided to take the plunge and ordered the stand from Debenhams+.

Now comes the interesting part. The TV does not fit snugly into the slot on the stand !!!!. It only partly fits into it. Also, I was unable to screw on 2 out of 3 on the back of the TV connecting it to the supporter(which fits onto the neck). My question is, is there a way I can make the stand fit properly with the TV. Functionally it is flawless and serves my need. Its just the fitting which I'm worried off. Hopefully the TV does not come undone from the part screwed on stand. It seems stable as of now but slightly wobbly.

Any suggestions would be highly welcome.

Thank you.

Message was edited by: SMFire

Message was edited by: SMFire
