I just got my nex 6 today. All in all it is a nice camera, although i am used to DSLRs. I was really amazed by the wifi capacities of this camera but..... i cannot use the apps by the simple reason that they cannot be downloaded in the region i live right now (Czech republic). So i am wondering, should i just go and return it or wait for some miracle to make the sony apps available in Prague? : Anyways, i feel really disappointed after spending 1000 Euros...

hello to everyone.

I like to have your help.

I have a camera Handycam DRC-505E and I revised the managing program with the last revision of Play Memory Home program. (I use windows 7).

Unfortunately something going rang and the program isn't recognizing the camera.

When I make the connection with USB cable I don't have any indication from the program or the camera.

It looks to me that probably is a problem with the relevant drivers. How and where Can I find the correct driver for my case.

ANY HELP??

A99 error messages?

I have had my A99 for around 2 weeks with no hitches until today!

It was working normally and then a clunk noise and the following message on screen

CAMERA ERROR TURN CAMERA OFF THEN ON

I tried turning off and on but the switch had no effect and the message stayed on the screen! The only way to get rid of the message was to undo the battery grip and take the camera battery out and put it in again!

It worked normally for a little while then happened again!

I have took a few shots since the second time and up to now it not done it again as yet!

Not impressed have to admit and wonder if anyone come across this problem on there A99?

UPDATE!!

This has happened yet again today after half hour of use so it obviously something wrong with the camera? (different lens and no battery grip today) Hopefully I am going to get it swapped out for a new one?

I will leave this here for others though in case it happens to anyone else?

I am unable to use the touchscreen of my hc-51e anymore. also calibration is not working, i have also tried a complete reset + calibration - nothing was solving my problem ...

It is very annoying and frustrating not to be able to play back a video. I hopemthere is a solution to this

Rear right thumb grip has come off

The rear right hand fake leather thumb grip has come off my A57. It started to loosen soon after I bought the camera and has been getting worse ever since. Yesterday I took the camera out of the bag after a day at a nature reserve, and there it was, gone.

Can you get these replaced? Is there an alternative? What adhesive would work to keep the replacement longer?

Hello

Could anyone tell me is this camcorder which is a uk version 1920x1080?

Reason why i'm asking this is when i upload files onto you tube and play them back there never is a 1080 option just the 720 one.

And comparing the 1080 files with 720 they look a lot better.

I upload onto a imac and edit in imove,then upload onto you tube if that helps anyone.

Also there is no 1080 option in the cams menu,i just set it for the highest quality,but i think its just records at 720.

Can anyone advise please..

I have a HDR-PJ260 handycam. I don't know whether I am doing something wrong or I have a problem which you can help me with.

I'm trying to import the .MTS files from the camera to my Windows 7 PC using Play Memories Home so I can edit them in Sony Vegas Pro 12.

When I import my files into Vegas I only have 2 channels of audio.

I right click the MTS file from the camera to view its details and it indeed states that the video only has 2x 48hz channels at a bitrate of 256.

Why are my files not outputting at 5.1?

The audio option on the camera when recording is set to 5.1 and I have the little 5.1ch icon on the cameras LCD with the level bars for the 6 channels.

When I playback on the camera it says 5.1ch on the LCD screen, but as soon as I import into Windows it shows up as 2ch. I have tried importing using play memories home as stated, importing via USB connection directly into Vegas Pro, and also just dragging and dropping from the SD card in Windows explorer. All of these methods still only leave me with a 2.0ch audio track.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

I'm looking for a Windows 7 64bit driver for a DSR-PD175P camcorder. The cameral works fine with 32bit Windows 7 but we've upgraded the PC and need to utilise more memory hence 64bit.

Any help would be appreciated as this is now effecting production.

SLT-A57 in Movie Mode - Help please!

I have an application where I want to use my SLT-A57 camera in Movie Mode.

The application is a golf swing analysis package from V1.

The application recommends a frame per second rate of 30f/s. The specification as I read and understand it, quotes 25f/s for MP4. Nothing is mentioned for AVCHD.

I am currently discussing with V1 the possibilities of using the AVCHD format. The software is a few years old but still works with my computer operating system (W7). It would seem that AVCHD is not listed with the formats that can be used although on initial discussions it may be possible to download/install the necessary codecs, (whatever they are!), for AVCHD to work.

So can anyone explain what the frame rate is in AVCHD?

Transferring vide from Action cam AS10

Hi,

I have just purchased an Action cam and am waiting for delivery. I will be taking it on holiday with me and as I don't want to take my laptop I was wondering if I would be able to copy the footage on the sd card via a tablet (with only 4gb memory) and then onto an external hardrive?

I'm a total amateur when it comes to all things techy so please be gentle with the lingo and numbers and all that malarkey but all help is massively appreciated!

HVL-F60M overheating and useless support

I'm a professional photographer and have found the new flash to shutdown within a very short time for overheating. This hasn't happened to me with the HVL-F58AM or the Minolta 5600HS before.

I need a solution and I need it NOW!!!

Preferably, I would like to be able to turn of the protection and use my own common sense, but there is no instructions as to whether this might be possible. I know when the Nikon SB900 had similar issues when launched they do have the facility.

Trying to get support from Sony is like trying to pull teeth. All I get is completely irrelevant answers and, at the moment, I'm hanging on the phone waiting for 'an agent to be with me shortly'.

Is there anyone at Sony who can help, or does anyone know a dirct line?

I bought a TX-20 camera in USA last year, camera is under a year old, on openning the battery cover it put pressure on the exterior case and caused a small piece to break off!!! Can I get this fixed under the initial one year warranty in the UK? There was no mistreatment / dropping etc of the camera - the rest of the camera seems perfect - it all works fine but I daren't try it underwater now, incase it leaks!

I bought a camera online and got it delivered on 9/5/2013, as there was a fault with it I sent it back on the same day and it was delivered back to sony warehouse on the 10/05/2013 and signed for by G Bradley. After making numerous phone calls to customer services, I have not recieved a replacement or my money back because the warehouse people have not logged the camera in one of their systems. It have been a month and I need help of somebody in the know to get a quick resolution. This camera was supposed to be a birthday present for my son.

I am having trouble installing Sony Playmemories for my HDR-CX320E camcorder. An error message keeps recurring stating;

"Installation canceled because communication with the network was lost. Please check your network connection."

I am having no problem with my internet connection, so can anybody advise me where the problem may lie? Windows Vista is my operating system. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

After connecting my HDR-CX130E to my Win7 PC, I cannot disconnect safely through the safely disconnect hardware feature of Win7, because my camera is not listed as a USB device.

When I press the X on the LCD (after setting up the USB connection) the camera asks me to disconnect my computer first. This normaly means that I have to use the safely remove hardware feature of Windows before disconnecting to avoid damage to the usb device. But my camera is not listed as a device to safely remove. When I disconnect the USB cable first (as the camera suggest) I get a message on the LCD "check connection".

So my question is, how to safely disconnect my camera from the pc? Can I just press the x on the lcd and then just confirm the message to disconnect my computer first? Or do I have to do something else?

Options to power A77 from 12v battery?

I don't think Sony make a voltage regulator of any kind to allow the A77 to be powered from a 12v battery. I shoot time lapse overnight and can't always get enough time to finish the job on batteries.

I'm considering a DIY power supply out of desperation. Can anyone tell me how to get hold of something without invalidating my camera's warranty? Is that even possible?

Excessive time between shots DSC-WX50

Hi, I have a Cybershot DSC-WX50 and from new it takes up to 5 secs inbetween shots (Flash off) whilst 'processing the image'. I have tried various setting and the same applies. Has anyone else had this issue? Faulty camera?

Sony or anyone else who may know. Why is the DSC-HX50V not available in the UK? I have a DSC-HX9V and looking to upgrade, if Sony has no plans to make this available then I'll just have to take my custom elsewhere because I use GPS alot!!! :
