Dai Nippon Printing Co Ltd (DNP) and Sony Corporation have concluded an agreement in which Sony Professional's digital photo printer business (excluding the manufacture of printers) shall be transferred to DNP from April, 2011.

Accompanying the concerned agreement between Sony and DNP, a working framework will also be established in which dye-sublimation print media is still supplied without interruption throughout the business transfer proceedings. These products are supplied across to the instant photo printing kiosk and printer businesses for ID photography currently installed by Sony.

Sony will continue to uphold all existing PrimeSupport agreements for all customers who have purchased a digital photography product in the last three years*. Additionally, Sony will continue to maintain its Medical professional printing business.
